This book, edited by UK Speech Language Pathologist and researcher, Associate Professor Anna Volkmer was first published in 2013. The second edition was published in 2025. As with the first edition, this second edition aims to bridge the gap between research and clinical practice. The objective continues to be, "making sometimes complex academic information palatable and clinically relevant." I am proud to have authored Chapter Seven, "Planning treatment and providing informational counselling, education and support."
